It was her junior year of high school when she decided to pursue a career in music and started her journey by joining the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra, which toured in France, performing at large concerts in various cities. Subsequently she was accepted to the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts High School to further advance her studies in flute, requiring extensive time commitments of practicing five plus hours per day.
