I have experience playing electric bass, piano, and guitar in folk, rock, jazz, and electronic music groups. Aside from my accomplishments as a performer, I am also a well-educated pedagogue and child development specialist. I have three degrees in music education. Throughout my studies I have a wealth of knowledge on how individuals learn music. Further, I have studied the relationship between musical study and emotional well-being. I sincerely enjoy making music with people of all ages, musical interests and abilities! Read More

My first venture with popular music was in 1986 playing vibraphone with SinTrans, a jazz group founded at the Conservatory Amadeo Roldn. SinTrans got to perform at the International Jazz Festival in Havana in 1987 and 1988. In 1993 I moved to Stockholm, Sweden where I developed my professional career as a musician, performing and recording with many of the most prominent artists and acts in Sweden: Nordman, Bo Kaspers Orkester, Bebo Valds, Lill Lindfors, Peter Jback, Carola, Blacknuss All Stars, Stockholm Folk Big Band, Jonas Knutsson, Magnus Lindgren Radiojazzgruppen, Janne Tolf and Mats Holmkvists Big Band to name a few.
I toured all around Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, France and other European countries, covering various genres like Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Fusion, Folklore, Salsa, Latin Jazz and much more. Read More

Instruments: Piano

My teaching style incorporates the use of learning by ear and memory in early stages, I also like to incorporate selections by the students as long as they are appropriate for their level. I approach each student differently and I may choose different methods of teaching...some like to read and play... Some prefer to hear and play, the idea is to do what is best to keep them engaged in their music journey. Read More

My focus is on Technique, Warm ups, and Injury Prevention on each instrument. I like to give precise instructions on how to build up discipline and practice regimens. The key to mastering any instrument is consistency. I believe it's important to get to know each students interest and goals in order to create a customized plan. I try to make each lesson, fun and inspirational. Each person learns differently. This is known as "modality" Auditory By ear, or tonal instruction Kinesthetic By feel, learns from physically being shown, a hands-on learner Visual By sight, by fret board position memory and shape. My teaching originated in high school when I taught a few beginners the wonderful  basics of the cello.  I've now taught for over 15 years and have brought all students of all levels to new heights.  When teaching, I explain what it is that I do when I play and how to learn this.  Just performing would not allow me to share my insights from years of my musical journey. I typically start each student off on a series of lesson books to help structure their learning in an academic way. However, I highly encourage bringing in classical pieces and students picking pieces of their own and bringing them to me to go over and learn. I’ve found that this keeps the students highly motivated and passionate about their lessons and practice. For beginners, the books are highly recommended, but for more advanced students who have finished the books, we begin classical technique exercises meant to help with the increasing level of difficulty of their songs. Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
