I've taught students of all ages, five(5) and up, and abilities for more than 30 years. The curriculum at N.A. For beginner students who are children 3-5, I focus on training their ears. I do lots of "piano key finding game' for them to know the right sound & keys. For age 5-7 I focus on training sight reading skill and fingering skills as well as listening training. For students who have 3-5 year experience, I teach how to express music and how to put their emotions to their performance using piano skills. Read More

I typically use the Alfred series of Piano Method materials to teach my piano students. Along with those materials, I add solo pieces for my students to learn as they progress. With my younger students especially, I enjoy introducing fun pieces for holidays throughout the year. I teach to my individual students abilities and interests to keep it engaging, enjoyable and fun too! I also try to teach music theory, mostly with my younger students, that requires the completion of written homework for lessons. Read More

I teach this at a patient pace, with teaching diatonic scales first, then transcending those scales into arpeggiated patterns. Learning this way not online teaches the mind, but also teaches the muscle memory of a person to remember the basics before moving to an intermediate level of theory. Read More
Instruments: Piano Saxophone Clarinet Keyboard
Through out the years of both learning, playing and up to present doing more teaching and classes i've realized the need to practice ones instrument. I also figured that practice just after a class means a lot as you tend to remember a lot that you talked about in a class session! We are all different when it comes to learning and material intake, so as a teacher loving and being patient with my students has always proven to bring out the best from students on their instruments. I am a passionate instructor with a love for music and learning. I began playing piano when I was 3 years old, and I have since added the B flat clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone to my collection. I have held the first chair clarinet and bassoon positions in multiple school bands for over 8 years, and I have performed piano in various venues including hospitals, nursing homes, funerals, baseball games, recitals, and competitions.
