I supplement some of the things in the book with other literature and hand written exercise to help enhance learning experience. For Adults I try to find what genre and music style they would like to work on. I am a young and engaging teacher.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Nyack College with a degree in Music Education.   I am a scholarship winning pianist with experience both in the classical and contemporary realms.  I am also an advanced violinist and have served as the concert master in both the Molloy College and Nyack College orchestras.  I have performed in four countries and recently accompanied the Nyack College Chorale in Lincoln Center. I love to find innovative and fun ways to make music theory and technique easier to understand for young minds. In 2014, I have completed my studies at Boston University, where I completed a PhD in Musicology with a focus on jazz of the 1930s and 1940s. I have performed at such venues as the Kennedy Center, the Boston Symphony Hall, the Taylor House, and the Kreeger Museum as a solo and ensemble musician. Read More
