I hold a Master's Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, combined with over twenty years of experience as an Arranger, Music Consultant, Vocal Coach, Technical Supervisor, Piano Teacher and Accompanist. During my undergraduate career at Western Connecticut State University I studied and appeared with many great performing artists including the late Skitch Henderson, Ksenia Nosikova, William Braun, and composer Joseph Schwantner. I am a very active musician that has an innate love of teaching. I started playing the clarinet at age 10 and quickly gained interest in playing more than just one instrument. Fast forward to high school, where I am playing Tuba in the marching band, clarinet in the concert band, and saxophone in the jazz band; this is where I know I wanted to share my passion for others. I usually use the Faber, Beyer, or Czerny depend on the student's level. I'd add Hanon, bach 2,3 part invention, Sonatina album, and the list can go on. For Jazz, all I need is manuscript paper and a Jazz Real Book (I'd hand out some exercise notes). For advanced students, I want them to listen to music a lot.
