We put together kid rock bands and had them play shows a few times a year at local venues and festivals. I was the resident drum teacher for that program until my very recent move to New York. Music is a great art form to express emotion and passion for something we cannot say in words. In church, I teach the choir to express their feelings of joyfulness when praising God. Outside church, I've taught privately in piano and voice for twelve years, five with Musika. I always encourge my students to practice with patience daily for 15-20 minutes in order to successfully progress. Most importantly, they must have fun, smile and play/sing with excitement. The theme of the project covers the world of natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes and tornados. Igors band Innertextures represents Igor's passion for the music to journey to new and daring places. He is supported in this effort by alto saxophonist Greg Ward, bassist Chris Tordini and drummer Kenny Grohowski. Igor has released four CDs as a leader: Eleven (2018), Innertextures live (2012), Mineral Mind (2009), and Innertextures (2004). I'm a trombonist, pianist, and composer that loves to teach as much as I love to play! I'm originally from Chicago, IL and started playing the piano at age 8 and trombone at 11. When I was young, the music that really drew me in the most was jazz and in 2016 I moved to New York City to study jazz trombone at the Manhattan School of Music.
