I have been teaching privately since 2010 and have been consistently been teaching private lessons since. I was a part of a directed teaching program at Cedarville University where my teaching was observed by peers and professors. I spent a year teaching general music to childern in Italy as well as private piano lessons. I also have experience teaching group classes and entering students in recitals and competitions. While at ONU, I was a member of the Wind Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Marching Band, and Woodwind Ensemble. I was given opportunities to perform in these various ensembles on clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and flute. I served as the principal clarinet of the Wind Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra, Instrumental Music Librarian, Wind Orchestra Ensemble Manager, and Wind Orchestra Assistant Conductor. In middle school, I began performing and teaching music during the summers at Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-10. Throughout high school, as a member of a variety of bands, I performed at a wide array of venues around New England. During this time, I ventured into song writing and musical arrangement. I also spent some time giving private trombone, bass, and guitar lessons in high school. As my students get into more advanced music, I select solo literature that best fits their musical abilities. For my vocal students I select music that is appropriate for them from the very beginning. For my male vocal students, I coach them through the voice change, which is a rewarding experience for me. I had worked with a public primary school’s students and had some experience to work with 6 classes (each contains 60 students) before I earned a Bachelor's Degree during required practical training. Through explaining music knowledge to children from 6-year-olds to 12-year-olds I learned to communicate with people with patient explanations and the deep understanding of people’s situations.
