For voice I create my own custon lesson plans and use a variety of materials. Students will work on a great variety of repetorie from pop to renaissance. Students are encourgaed to learn to read music, with a great emphasis placed upon practical music theory. I aim to develop intellegent musical artists, foscuing upon intrepretation, critical thinking, historical considerations and creativity. For piano I general use the Faber and Faber method books unless I feel that a particular method would better benefit a specific student. Read More

I currently teach piano lessons at Trinity under the name of Joseph’s Piano, and at That Music Place in Springboro and Bella Musica in Miamisburg. Some of my past performances include piano accompaniment for Ohio Performing Arts Musicals and the Clark State Community College Chorus. While in high school at Springfield Shawnee, I played the pipe organ at Wittenberg University’s Weaver Chapel. My teaching style is fast paced and dynamic quickly adapting to the needs of the individual student. I ensure that lessons are fun and that music can be a means of relaxation. I adapt each lesson for the individual, their interests and their needs. Instruments: Piano Violin Viola

For violin and viola lessons, I start my beginning students off with the violin/viola instrument hold as well as the bow hold. Once one has gotten the feel for holding the instrument as well as the bow, I teach the student the open strings of the instrument, followed by a one octave scale, with basic note reading exercises. I'm a dedicated and hard-working teacher that works to provide a consistently growing love and appreciation for music in her students. In 2016, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Clarinet Performance at Morehead State University, and in April 2018 I graduated with my Master of Music degree at the Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music. I have performed in various professional and semi-professional musical settings including: 2 years in the Cave Run Symphony Orchestra, playing out of clarinet/flute/saxophone books for multiple musicals, and most recently traveling around the Midwest states playing clarinet for the Guerrilla Chamber Collective (a chamber group dedicated to performing new music by up-and-coming composers).
