The most important thing for me when it comes to teaching is knowing that my student is progressing but also enjoying their experience overall, another very important factor is overall retention of the information. Every person is different so there is really no cut and dry method of teaching, keeping this in mind the experience for everyone should be unique in a way. By setting routines together Im sure we could come to an agreement on how we could both help each other achieve our goals and succeed. Read More

I am a music teacher in the Central Florida area! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of Miami and my principal instrument is Voice (various styles). But, I have also played flute piccolo for several years, and also play guitar, ukulele, and basic piano/keyboard. In college I toured to Europe and New York with the top choir, played multiple instruments in the marching band, and sang in a professional choir on campus. Read More

I was a member of the University of Sonora choir for more than 4 years, always leading the tenor chords, helping them to achieve musicality and hearing all kinds of voices. I helped them with the piano to sing different voice melodies in different languages. When I graduated, I started to take private students, helping them with breathing and music lines. My last two students in Mexico were really greatful with me for the vocal range growth in less than 6 months. Read More

The University of Tampa ensures all undergrads receive the bacheloriate experience. Which entails an interdisciplinary education in all fields to encourage students to see the connections between their studies and their peers studies. A BA in Music requires the mastery of music theory, history, production, and performance; requiring mastery of an instrument and constant involvement in student ensembles such as orchestra. Of note of these participated ensembles was the Interactive Arts Ensemble. Read More

There is also an Alfred's adult course for the older students. It really conveys everything from actual performance pieces to theory concepts. Once the basics of the piano are learned (i.e reading music, note names and finger positions etc.), pieces will begin to be played. Not to place all my eggs in one basket, I will also personally pick pieces I feel are appropriate with the current skill level of the student, ranging from pop to classical to ragtime to anything I feel would be fun and challenging. My experience date back to my early college days, where I began as a volunteer piano teacher for veterans in a retirement community. I taught for a few months, when I was approached by two different women, one who wanted me to perform cover songs at the retirement facility that she managed, and another who wanted me to give her husband private music lessons. I performed for a few years during college, but stopped teaching after my only student moved away. Read More

I love to listen the particular interests of my students, so I can develop a program that fits their expectations and aspirations. I encourage students to work on their violin technique, so they can enjoy playing any lesson with the skills necessary for a great performance. Practice and devotion are important to dominate these divine instruments. However, each student progresses at his or her own pace. My work is to find out my students limitations and struggles to improve their quality as a violinist and pianist. Read More
