In 2014, I graduaded from Coker College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance with a Concentration in Musical Theater. I have been performaning in theatrical productions and show cases for over eight years now. In college I was aprat of every major production whether is was performing, directing or writing. I have been passionate instructor and have been playing multi instruments for 15+ years. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and work as an ABA Therapist for autistic children. I have been in multiple bands and recorded a lot of songs. I have toured Michigan and the outer areas. I have had the opportunity to play at the Majestic Theater in Detroit, as well as St. Andrew's. My favorite thing about teaching is that no two students are the same; and no two lessons with the same student are either! It is so important to establish a goal for a student to work towards, so that they know what they're practicing for. Not huge goals either that are months away, but goals that can be accomplished between each lesson. The best part of the job is seeing students get excited for music, and being able to grow in such a way that they're able to put their personality into their performances. Read More

For each instrument, I have the same basic approach: discover what they like, assess what they can do, and begin with the fundamentals.  If a student is more advanced, I still like to spend time on fundamentals at the beginning anyway to see if we can fill in any foundational weakness that the student may have.   For each instrument, I also have a wide array of repitoire that I give students that zero-in on technical challenges a student will be presented with.
