I believe that both the lesson book and the theory books are highly important and necessary. Depending on the student and their wants and needs, other books for each level may be added. In college, I gave voice lessons to fellow students regularly and lead many rehearsals and after school music camps for elementary and middle school aged students. While student teaching, I had the opportunity to lead 5 different choirs, lead 8 different levels of music education and give after school tutoring to students.
