In 2016, I graduated from Cleveland Institute of Music with a Artist Diploma degree in Piano Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greatest experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play both at the Cleveland Severance Hall and Carnegie Hall in New York, as well as touring China, Japan, Australia, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Israel as several performances as the principle pianist with major orchestras. For students who are already in an instrumental program through school, I will start with whatever method book they are using at school, and branch off from there. Depending on the instrument, I will bring in another method book specific to that instrument book and we will also use some sort of etude book. I highly emphasize Music Theory and Aural Skills; I believe that students should understand what they are playing. Maya was born in Odessa, Ukraine. She started learning to play piano at the age of five and hasnt stopped since. Maya studied at the Conservatory in Ukraine and achieved Master of Arts in piano performance and piano teaching. Later she accompanied for dancers and singers of the Odessa Theater of Opera and Ballet. Maya teach music to childrens and adults more than 20 years. After moving to the US, she worked as an accompanist at the Andahazy School of Classical Ballet in Minnesotaand continues to teach. Read More
