I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2016, I graduated from Cleveland Institute of Music with a Artist Diploma degree in Piano Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greatest experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play both at the Cleveland Severance Hall and Carnegie Hall in New York, as well as touring China, Japan, Australia, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Israel as several performances as the principle pianist with major orchestras. I am very much a goal-oriented and visual person, so I like to set clear goals for my students. I like to get to know my students personally and create a more open relationship. Some students learn much quicker than others and that is okay! But, I do always encourage my students to progress using proper techniques to prevent burnout and any injuries. I am very flexible with my students and will always adapt to the way they learn best. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days when I began tutoring other students in 2001. After graduating in 2003 I transitioned to private lessons and have been teaching ever since. Regular practice on a consistent basis is one of the main points I emphasize to my students. It helps them progress and gain a passion for their instrument. A combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy their instrument and motivate them to continue learning. Read More

I tailor my method selection to suit the needs of the student. With so many wonderful methods out there, what it comes down to is what will help the student learn the most! I highly emphasize Music Theory and Aural Skills; I believe that students should understand what they are playing. This understanding leads to more accurate performances and more solid memorization skills. I try to keep the student's musical education moving forward steadily at whatever pace the student learns best. Read More

I was classically trained in Ukraine and I follow the Russian tradition of teaching music. Mastering a piece of music is a multi step approach. An important factor for me is helping students learn proper technique. I feel that mastering the necessary skills of finger placement and hand positioning will lay the groundwork for quickly learning new pieces as skill level grows. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs..... Read More

Generally speaking, music is not necessary, but it is essential to have fun learning it! Regardless of a student's reason for taking lessons, I believe in giving all students an equally high level of opportunity and guidance, and I take responsibility for ensuring they grow as a well-rounded musician. As long as realistic goals are set, a regular practice routine can be established. As a teacher, I enjoy seeing students develop a love for learning music. Read More
