My musical experiences started at church in the 80's when I discovered that I could sing really high notes imitating Christian artists like Sandy Patty and the late puertorican soprano Yolanda Vadiz. Those experiences motivated me to consider studying music seriously not just like another hobby. My process for working with new voice students begins with an initial intake form, where I learn about your musical background, goals, and any specific areas youd like to improve. Following this, we schedule a first Discovery Lesson. This initial lesson allows us to get to know each other, assess your current abilities, and establish a baseline. Based on this assessment, I create a personalized lesson plan tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. Read More

As stated, I have taught students of all ages, from pre-K to adults. I first began teaching while I was in college and have taught ever since. While most of my career has been spent teaching privately in fine arts academies and in students' homes, for the past 7 years I have taught high school choir in Keller ISD. I love to see my students succeed and have those "aha!" moments when their individual practice begins to pay off. Read More

My teaching style is just like most I think. I don't rush with the students. Always trying to go slow and make sure the students understands everything. I've gotten pretty good at figuring out when the students get what I'm trying to teach. If I feel like I'm going to fast I'll stop think about what I'm doing and slow down. It's easy to talk to fast and rush as a teacher because I've taught so many students. Read More
