My name is Joshua. I am a 26 year old pianist who has been playing for 20 years. I am an experienced teacher, performer, and composer. I play around town in a Jazz duo, as well as in a 3 person band. I have been teaching for over 5 years and enjoy helping my students expand their mind and reach their goals for musical education. For my beginner students, who are younger, I start off with the Faber series in the Primer levels. After progressing through the first few levels of the series, I then start to introduce solo repertoire depending on the interests of the student. For my older students, we also go through the Faber Adult Piano Adventures book, where we learn the basics of piano along with some fun pieces.
