I work with students of all ages, from as young as 3 years old through adults and seniors, including students in their 70s. I previously performed and played in church settings and have always enjoyed sharing music in ways that bring people together. As an accomplished self taught pianist and composer I've spent my life experimenting with different methods, material and practice beliefs. I can teach and speak more broadly now about music, not as an elitist activity but as a language vital to humans whether it is "spoken" or heard. While living in New York City I taught group ensemble classes for students ages 10-16 which played everything from jazz standards to pop, rock, hip-hop and blues.
