My methods of teaching are based on where the students are at in there study of music. For beginners I like to teach them how to read music as they learn each note on their instruments. After that it really depends on what kind of music you want to learn, what you already know. Rather than dictate to students exactly what and how they should practice, I always use my students' curiosity as a guide, and work on what is most interesting to them.
