I believe that learning is incredibly individualized. Each student will have specific goals and ways of understanding instruction. Because of this, I believe that teaching should be just as individualized. I aim to teach each student in what ever way will best support them in their learning, rather than forcing all students to learn in one uniform way. My methods adapt to each student, their age and their level. The books I use go from the Suzuki books to the traditional Fouillard, Popper or Sebastian Lee methods. The repertoire would also depend on the student needs and the type of music he/she wants to learn. The age of the student is not relevant to me.
