I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance from UC Santa Barbara, and a Master of Music degree in flute performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach. Since the begining, I focus on sight reading and learning repertoire strategies. I believe that if the student is capable of reading and learning the repertoire quickly, he or she will become much more motivated and the act of practicing will be something pleasant. I like my students to fell they practice because they like to, and not only because they have to. I earned my bachelors degree from Northwestern State University in music performance, and my masters degree in music performance from Louisiana State University. My education has culminated in an understanding of many musical styles from classical music and jazz in the double bass to funk, blues, and metal on the electric bass.
