I first started teaching and helping run brass sectionals at some local schools in 2004, but did not start teaching regualarly until I completed my degree in 2011. I find that young musicians make the most progress when playing for and with other people. I aim to make lessons fun and engaging and put a strong emphasis on playing duets. I graduated from Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver June of 2019 and have been teaching privately for the past two years. I use many books to start students and usually spend most of the lesson in the Arban's Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet (Cornet). I like students to study classic trumpet solo's literature.
