Typically, we dedicate half the time to warm ups and tailored vocal exercises for technique development. In the past, I have taught and directed my church choir and praise team. I was voted to be my colleges all-female a cappella groups music director and am currently serving in that role. My preferred piano method is Piano Adventures and I recommend using the Lesson, Theory, and Sight Reading books at each level. For guitar and voice I typically do not follow any specific method unless the student has a preference. For more advance piano students I typically will begin using Suzuki or move them to Burgmller Etudes and Schumann's Opus 68 - Album for the Young. I perform an assessment of new students in the areas of sight reading, music theory, rhythm, performance, and ear training. Read More

I help kids find a way of learning that works best for them as I know we all process information differently. I happily am patient as I find out what genres they enjoy and want to learn more about singing and I encourage them to explore and appreciate all music as they can use it all to gain knowledge to be able to help them develop their full voice potential.
