Each lesson is personally tailored to the students needs, with a focus on where that individual student needs to grow. Since then I performed with Who's Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band, and my own hip-hop/soul band The Urban Sophisticates. We start each lesson with proper breathing technique, the cornerstone of all vocals. We then move on to various vocal exercises to help condition the voice. Then we will work on the songs that interest you and that you are eager to sing! I will use a piano for warm ups and conditioning exercises. My style is heavily influenced by how I was taught. My guitar teacher did show off his guitar playing chops at the beginning, so that's a must. I can be a strict teacher. However one must bear in mind that sometimes students digress into other issues outside guitar playing. That's fine (they're paying for it, so I'm flexible).
