In my teaching approach, communication, respect, discipline, and perseverance are some of the most important values. I always ask students about having a purpose and being confident to ask and discuss about it: what do they want to accomplish in a short, medium and long-term. I have taught in all levels from beginner to graduate, including amateur players. Which means my teaching style is flexible, the students participate in their program design. Read More

While I have taught violin lessons since 2010, my most recent passion for teaching occurred when I became an Adjunct Professor of Violin at New York University from 2016-2018. I held this position for two years while I was simultaneously completing my Masters degree, and maintained a studio of 10 students each semester. While at NYU, I taught a variety of students, from complete beginners to advanced violin players. Outside of NYU, I have also gained experience privately teaching younger students, and I am a Suzuki certified teacher. Read More

The student will have the choice to decide the music that he/she would like to learn to play. My aim is to teach the student all the tools he/she will require to play and enjoy their instrument. My aim is also to make the student independent by introducing him to resources where he can find music to study or learn at his own pace. This is the start of a lifelong love and relationship with your instrument and I would like to make it a part of their reality. Read More

I like to first access the student and their proficiency level. Once I discover your weak points I focus on them and drill them to perfection. Once we have those down. Of course it takes much practice on your part at home alone, then we can move onto actual music and integrating all the skills you learned naturally into harmonious music.--There is no set way to my teaching style because every student is different and must be addressed with their own distinct methods and styles of learning. -I do not teach in the way schools teach their subjects such as history or math. -I learn the student before I can teach the student based off how they live, interact, and learn. For beginning students (regardless of age instrument) I try to simplify the approach and work on a set of warm ups/exercises coupled with a performance piece or song that they can feel good about and lots of fun listening assignments. From there I have a few options of instruction methods that I tailor to the individual student. More intermediate/advanced students will not escape from some of the basics (metronome, scales, rudiments etc.) but will be met with many more choices of performance material based more on their individual goals. Instruments: Drums
I teach beginner to beginning intermediate drum students. The student will learn some of the most popular rock beats and rhythms and practical sticking techniques in the course. They will develop the "weak" hand and foot, limb independence coordination, and rudimentary skills. I teach a student to be completely independent on the kit by teaching them how to set-up and tune themselves. The first lesson will cover basic notation, as it applies to the drum kit, as well as a satisfactory play of a simple groove utilizing quarters and eighth notes. Read More
