I'm an energetic and passionate music lover with a discipline in drums/percussion. I have over 30 years experience with drumming and playing in all sorts of music situations, including jazz groups, orchestra's, marching band/drumline, etc. I currently play a regular Sunday church gig in Houston and can be heard during the week on a regular basis at Perry's Steakhouse in Baybrook Mall and both Eddie V's locations (west and city centre). I have given vocal/piano/keyboard workshops to train current/potential worship team members at my home church, I also enjoy volunteering to coach youths to play praise songs by piano/keyboard in a team/band setting on weekly basis. I have more than 20+ years of experience serving as a vocalist and pianist at my home church worship team(s) in the West Houston Area. My gift and passion to teach enables me to set example for lifelong learning. Read More
Instruments: Voice
I have my students start with sufficient stretching to get the body ready for singing. Following that, I warm up their voices with different scales and specific singing exercises, which I will use independently with students in different levels. Afterwards, we work on the music. I usually pick the music for my students. However, if there is a piece of music that my student particularly wants to learn, I am willing to compromise as long as it is suitable for his/her voice. Instruments: Guitar Voice Bass Guitar

For example, classical guitar requires perfection of technique for good execution. This requires practice of scales, arpeggios and such. However, if the student is older and just wants to be able to strum a few chords then that requires a different approach where we focus on simple technique and work on things like rhythm or posture etc. Read More
