I then went on to complete an MM and GPD in Opera from The Longy School of Music of Bard College. Therefore, it is important that each student learns at his or her own pace. Once the student has grasped the basic concept of half and full steps, major and minor note, flats and sharps, we can start practicing some tunes. In the beginning I try to incorporate 10 minutes at the beginning of every lesson, as well as some key finger exercises.
