I grew up singing in the children's choruses of The Metropolitan Opera and NYC Opera, dancing at The School of American Ballet in The Julliard School at Lincoln Center. I earned a college preparatory diploma from The Manhattan School of Music and went on to earn my BM and MM at Westminster Choir College (a world renowned choral conservatory in Princeton, NJ). I have worked with beginner, intermediate, and advanced players and adjusted to their needs accordingly, as well as gained valuable knowledge on how to efficiently resolve the difficulties encountered by the students. For materials I use the following; Vic Firth Snare Drum Method, Rudimental Swing Solos, Art of Bop Drumming, Brazilian Rhythms for Drumset, Afro-Cuban Rhythms for Drumset, Syncopation, Rudimental Ritual, Tables of Time and Music Minus One. Each book focuses on sight reading, coordination and musical styles. Outside of reading materials, I always give my students music to listen to and recordings to play along to. For Beginning students I have my own book. It focuses on learning a song to play, clapping the rhythm to that song while writing the music notes and making the connections from notes to piano keys. As students progress we incorporate scales, and exercises from such books as Dozen a Day series and learning to compose a song or play a duet with the teacher. Read More

I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where I completed my degrees in Music Education and Saxophone Performance. During my time at Berklee, I studied notable professors such as Bill Pierce, Shannon LeClaire, Dino Govoni and Jeff Harrington. Additionally, I also completed his Masters degree in Saxophone Performance at Queens College under the direction of Antonio Hart.
