One is listening analysis. I like to play music of different styles and have students listen to different parts of a song. I also like doing rhythmic dictation. This is where a student listens to a line I play and tried to write it out note for note. It enables them to learn how to physically write the notes and fully understand the value of each note. Another option is drum set. Read More

I am very passionate about music. I love to teach and pass along what i know so that others can continue to create music for profit and personal enjoyment. I am a very low pressure teacher. If you are not enjoying your time then no one is benefiting from the lessons. I use a marker board, books, a metronome, paper and pencils etc to tech lessons. I do not send home "homework" but i will assign practice exercises for students to do between classes and will check on the progress and results when we meet for our next lesson. Read More

With over 17 years of dedicated experience behind the keys, I have immersed myself in every nuance of performancefrom interpreting ageless classical compositions to breathing new life into contemporary works. My journey began at a tender age when the piano first revealed its magica gateway that unlocked endless possibilities for expression and imagination. As a performer, my repertoire spans an impressive array of styles. I have graced stages both intimate and grand, captivating audiences with her technical precision and emotive artistry. Read More

I love seeing my students set and reach goals. I make sure that realistic goals are set and that I show the student the steps to reach those goals. If a student does not feel successful, then they are more likely to not practice as much or quit all together. I want my students to feel excited about music and want to practice. I try to find out what motivates and inspires each student in order to tailor my teaching to each individual. Read More

Playing trumpet has always been a passion of mine, and I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to share my knowledge with other people. This past May, I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education with a focus in Trumpet Performance. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to perform with and learn from incredible musicians, which has brought me many performing opportunities. Read More

For all students, our first meeting will be an assessment to figure out where to start! I typically have students begin by playing something they are comfortable with that they enjoy, and we go from there. I am comfortable teaching a variety of methods and like to help the student achieve their individual goals, whatever those may be. I do like to supplement most teaching method books with some kind of scale/etude regimen depending on the level, to round out their practice throughout the week between lessons. Read More
