I have taught kids from ages 9 to fourteen, and am open to teaching anyone of any skill level. I also offer lessons in composition and recording/engineering music production. I encourage regular practice and make sure, especially for kids, that they leave every lesson with something new. I focus on learning how to be a successful musician all around, emphasizing on good technique, performance, and each student's individual sound. I work with students toward their own goals, no matter how big or small. Read More

Teaching must be a two way street between the instructor and the student. There must be an understanding of the relationship and a willingness on both ends to take everything that they can out of the experience. For adults especially, constructive criticism is just as important as the praise when you do a good job. Read More
Instruments: Voice
For beginners, I like to incorporate a basic understanding of pitch, rhythm, and theory to develop their skills as a musician. Once these have been assessed I like to select repertoire that allows the student to use their growing musicianship and skills. Read More

At age fourteen, I switched to the cello, beginning lessons with Luca DiCecco. For my senior year of high school, I left public school to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts. Read More

My mother always loved to remind me how, when I was just two years old, I used to grab the Tupperware out of the cabinet and a couple of wooden spoons and pretend I was playing drumsevery day. I still dont know where my love for the drums came from, but that passion has been with me my entire life. At the ripe young age of 9, I finally got my first drum kit and started taking lessons.
