Then we work on pieces of music and incorporating theory, and playing musically. Wherever you are in the pursuit of voice, it's necessary to develop reproducible, reliable technique. Singing is breath, vowels and consonants, and feeling, and how the three of them interact is crucial to having a sustainable, easy, and fun instrument. This is where the work is.
