I have worked with beginner and intermediate bassoon students, beginner, intermediate and advanced flute students. I typically start students who don’t know how to read music with Kevin Olsen‘s book called “The Perfect Start.” I then supplement that with my own approaches to teaching to note reading, musicianship, theory, sight singing, and composition. I began teaching at the age of 18 my first student was a 24 year old who was an older brother of a friend.
