My enthusiasm for performance and teaching have turned me into an energetic and motivated instructor of voice and piano for the past three years. I began teaching privately while in graduate school at the University of Maryland. During my time there, I enjoyed made performance opportunities in the DC Metro area. This allowed me to get a sense of what good, young voices sound like at the beginnings of their careers. My main goal for students who join my studio is for them to have fun! That is the heart of music making. I cater my lessons to my students needs and wants. I want to be there to help you reach all of your goals, whether they be singing at a wedding or having an illustrious performing career.

I am a very passionate singer! I am fond of all sorts of music and I'm passionate about sharing music with others. I graduated in May of 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from Texas Tech University. I spent the summer of 2014 singing in Italy as a part of an opera program. I enjoy experiencing different cultures and incorporating them into singing!

Making lessons fun is my top priority, and I show that learning the basics and the fundamentals can be fun, if it is done correctly. For beginning students, I use John Thompson's books.  Students progress through Bastien, and Burgmuller, before moving on to graduated solo repertoire. Intermediate and advanced students will work on core Classical and Romantic period piano works, while building dexterity and fluidity by playing scales, chords, and arpeggios. At all levels, I employ the Leschetizky method of relaxed wrists as the means to develop a beautiful bell-like tone.

It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
