I have been playing guitar for 15 years, and I have been playing and teaching professionally for 5 years. Music is my life, and I spend a majority of every day practicing, playing, teaching and listening to music.

As a beginner, nothing is more satisfying than being able to play recognizable tunes as soon as possible.  I typically lay out a patterned tier of simple and well known musical phrases for a student to gain initial confidence with while introducing basic performance principles.  Once the the fundamentals of playing are beginning to click, we will start to customize our approach based on the student's particular goals.  Not to worry, many students have a loose idea of what they are striving for at first and their curriculum develops naturally as they master certain skills and knowledge.  Every student gets their own unique curriculum based on their interests and goals.

I began receiving piano lessons at the age of six. When I was a sophomore attending Ironwood High School, Peoria (AZ), I accompanied for my school choirs as a pianist for three years. In the summers of 2007 and 2008, I played in the pit band keyboard and assisted with the vocal coaching for Bye Bye Birdie and Oklahoma at Ironwood Summer Theatre Enrichment Program.   Not only have I played in church worship band for several years, but also I was a church pianist for over ten years at my home church in Arizona. Therefore, I am familiar with techniques of both classical and popular music.

I want to build a course that reaches your every desire of whatever musical path you decide to take. Instead of just teaching the basics I run my courses like a college every student chooses a major genre to want to play and a minor. From those two genres I add on additional genres to touch of in the course to make your new found musical ability that mush more unique. For example, If you where to pick Jazz and Modern Metal I would also then want to touch on Progressive rock and Country to ensure that your future original composition will sound like no one else's. I don't just want to teach you music I want to give you a skill you will love till the day you leave the known universe.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
