I had always known that I wanted to become a music teacher, but this is the time of my life when I really started discovering my potential in the education community. Students that I have worked with have achieved Superior Ratings in OMEA Solo and Ensemble events, have been part of various honor bands and extra-curricular groups. I have a passion for music, and I play a lot of gigs, and I can see that it inspires students. I work on student's strengths first, to give them a sense of accomplishment. I use audio recording during lessons to make an actual creation that students can share with friends and family. My teaching experience started in Music Collage,where teaching of school age students was part of curriculum .After graduation from Kiev Conservatory I taught individual violin and viola lessons at Kiev Music School #10 for Gifted Children. Shortly after immigrating to the United States I joined the teaching staff of the Notre Dame School of Music,where I served as a violin teacher for 5 years. When in 2005 the school was closed,I decided to continue teaching and created my private studio, where I have been teaching students of all ages and levels to play violin,viola and piano. Read More

I placed the highest priority on the teacher-student relationship. I believe that maintaining a good teacher-student relationship can foster a students music learning. A student will be motivated to learn and practice if they like their teacher. Also, they will be eager to share their own ideas and interpretations of the music. Therefore, I will remain a not-too-close relationship with my student. If having a too close relationship with students, teachers may not become an authority to their students anymore, and receive less respect from them. Read More

For beginers I will start them off working through a beginig method book, gradually learning new skills and notes along the way. Eventually we will work on various solo pieces such as classical repertoire, or even movie or pop tunes. I will sometimes use Smart Music, a computer program that gives the opportunity to play along with a "band" gaining valuable experince playing with others while in a private lesson setting. Through my college experience, I have had the opportunity to sing all over the world.
