Instruments: Trombone Euphonium
My general pedagogical goal is to set students up with lessons that can be interpreted to other parts of life. Learning discipline, focus, problem solving skills, awareness, and interpretation in the practice room is useful in every aspect of life. Another goal is to develop the student in such a way that a passion for music and the arts is grown. Each student is different and has different goals; by trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More
Instruments: Piano Violin Viola Music Keyboard
My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in Cincinnati for the last 2 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More
Instruments: Violin
My teaching style depends upon the student! I love reaching set goals, and I verbally check in to take the students feelings, thoughts, and playing into account. We come to a decision together, and I am not the final say on any matter. I see lessons as a collaboration, as I have much to learn from this experience as well. I prepare the student to be adaptable, and to use the skills as effectively in practice as in performance and lessons. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet Trombone Euphonium French Horn Tuba
I began teaching lessons in Texas in 2012 and have been since. My first major success as a teacher came in 2015 when I had a trumpet student of mine make the Texas ATSSB All-State Jazz Band. In my lessons, I push a strong routine of consistent practice to help improve endurance and stamina. I also try to instill in my students a sense of patience that I believe will pay off in the long run. Read More

Instruments: Voice
I like to create very clear imagery that builds over time. The voice is not something we can see or touch, so I often joke that singing is about learning Jedi mind tricks that help us achieve a healthy technique. I like to incorporate theory/musicianship and some piano into my lessons to create a well rounded understanding of singing as a musician. I like to use the music that each student loves, which allows them to learn while still keeping things fun and interesting. Read More
