I typically have students begin by playing something they are comfortable with that they enjoy, and we go from there. I am comfortable teaching a variety of methods and like to help the student achieve their individual goals, whatever those may be. One is listening analysis. I like to play music of different styles and have students listen to different parts of a song. I also like doing rhythmic dictation. Adrian began studying viola in his freshman year of highschool at McCallum Fine Arts Academy under Martha Carapetyan; he later went on to study at the Interlochen Arts Academy in his senior year under the teaching of Renee Skerik.
