My method of teaching is very an easy one. I start off by teaching them the correct way to breath. I will also require them to do some breathing excerises. Once I feel they understand how to breath well. I then will teach them how to sing. We start off with simple excerises showing then how to place the vowel sound which is key to making an beautiful sound. I will record several differrent excerises for them to practise. Read More

Playing trumpet has always been a passion of mine, and I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to share my knowledge with other people. For all students, our first meeting will be an assessment to figure out where to start! I typically have students begin by playing something they are comfortable with that they enjoy, and we go from there. I am comfortable teaching a variety of methods and like to help the student achieve their individual goals, whatever those may be. I do like to supplement most teaching method books with some kind of scale/etude regimen depending on the level, to round out their practice throughout the week between lessons. Read More

I actually started teaching in my senior year of high school. It was an introduction to see if I would like it and I have been teaching ever since . Along with all my students, I worked with area high schools and middle schools helping out in their percussion section or jazz band. I had a small percussion ensemble that performed a summer concert. It was a blast and I hope to do it again! Read More

I treat my students as individuals and adjust my teaching style to achieve optimal results. The way you practice reflects on how much enjoyment you get from playing and how well you perform at recitals/auditions, etc… I spend a significant amount of time, especially with new students, on the art of practicing.
