I am an overly passionate musician that enjoys writing, listening, and analyzing music just as much as playing it. I enjoy sharing that passion with as many people as possible, and teaching it to whoever will listen. I began playing trumpet 15 years ago and writing music 12 years ago. For 2 years starting in 2017, I worked as a graduate voice assistant at the University of Minnesota where I taught vocal methods in a classroom environment, as well as private lessons to a studio of 18+ students. I teach students technique, theory, Classical repertoire, and also whichever contemporary pieces they would like to learn. I can learn almost any style and teach it by ear. So in a typical lesson we will start with some scales or technique, move on to some Bach or Mozart, and then try something by ear.
