I'm a fun, motivated and passionate instructor.  I graduated from McGill University's Schulich School of Music in 2009 with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance, with voice as my main instrument.  Since then I have been teaching and performing around New York at historic venues such as Birdland, The Plaza, Iridium, Bitter End, amongst others.  I have also recorded an album with Grammy nominated producer and arranger Rob Mounsey and perform with the world-famous Postmodern Jukebox.  I have taught a variety of genres, ages, and levels of students.  Through my performance, recording, and teaching experiences, I’ve acquired substantial knowledge to bestow on my students.  It’s a true gift to be able to share my love of music and to help my students reach their potential.   Read More

I began teaching in my undergraduate degree at Kutztown, PA. There I began working with the flute studio from a nearby high school. As I have moved to New Jersey, I have taken on my own private studio. I have students ranging in ages 4-50+. I also teach part time at a college, working with a flute studio in preparation from their end of the semester recital. I enjoy working with my students and getting to know them all. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my junior year of high school. I first began providing private lessons to local children that attended the local middle school that I had also attended myself. Consistency is the most important thing that I have stressed to all of my students. Consistency in practicing is vital to training your lips, fingers, and lungs to match what you have in your mind. After graduating from college, I began teaching privately in my home state of Texas at the middle and high school levels in New Braunfels and Austin. Soon, I began teaching adults as well and when I moved to Washington D.C. in fall of 2006, I became the Music Instructor at The Art and Drama Therapy Institute, a center for adults with developmental disabilities. This experience had a great impact on me in terms of understanding the big picture in that the goals and methods relating to the technical aspects of music lessons, but the grand value that music offers in terms of the emotional and spiritual rewards as well.
