I'm a caring and passionate trumpeter, arranger and musician who has been working full time in the industry for 20 years. Graduating from the University of Nevada Las Vegas was an outstanding experience with some of the best instructors and I obtained dual Bachelors degrees in Music Education Trumpet Performance and a Masters degree in Jazz studies. During my time in Las Vegas I was in the Wayne Newton Orchestra for 5 years, toured the country with Latin groups, played 1000's of gigs from Las Vegas Strip productions to weddings to clubs to TV. During the 2015-16 season, I completed a tour with pianist Amanda Zook (Cosme-Zook Duo), performing in New York City, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and Canada. These concerts were sponsored by Project 142 and themselves. As an educator, I teach at the Escuela de Música de Manatí. There I teach flute, flute choir, and wind ensemble. Also, I hold the teacher's assistant position given by my mentor Josué Casillas. I began teaching privately in high school, and I have continued since. Right now, I am an Adjunct Instructor in Flute at New York University, where I teach undergraduate NYU students private lessons.
