I have a love and passion for music and I am equally passionate about passing on all of the knowledge I have gained over my years to the students I get to work with. In 2013, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Electric Bass Performance. At Berklee, I was mentored by some of the most amazing musicians in the world and I am delighted to get opportunities to mentor others like I was while in school. Read More

For beginning brass players, my favorite method for individual instruction in the "Breeze Easy" method, by John Kinyon. These books have fun and engaging entry-level pieces for students to play. Once students have gone through each book and developed certain fundamental skills, I will encourage them to move on to more advanced books such as the Arban's "Complete Method", and Robert Getchell's "2nd Book of Practical Studies". Arban's has a great combination of fundamental exercises such as scale studies and vocalizes, but also has entertaining solos and duets toward the back of the book. Read More

I am a passionate and extremely patient music instructor who loves to see his students succeed. It's self fulfillment for me to know that I can impact a person's life through the art of music.I always encourage my students to always ask questions if there are things that they do not understand. There is no such thing as a "stupid question. When I started bass,I attended The Bennett Music School located in Brooklyn NY.I had a very good instructor that was very encouraging and extremely patient and influenced me to persue music as a career.Throught my career I have had the opportunity to record as a session bassist as well as playing with various national recording artists. Instruments: Trumpet

I am a young aspiring student just like those that I teach and, therefore I enjoy having fun and keeping the student engaged as I understand how hard it is to focus when beginning to play an instrument like the trumpet which may seems mundane at first. My main quote for success is to,"aim for the moon and if you fail you will land among the stars." I encourage my students to set goals that may be a little outside of their comfort zone, but I will never set a goal that is outside the level of achievement for a specific students skills. Engaging the students in active participation is crucial in all learning modalities as is discovering what motivates him or her to excel. Teaching is not a static endeavor, and requires fluidity and flexibility on the part of the teacher. I take pride in my ability to analyze and monitor the learning situation and regularly modify as need be. Children are natural music makers and it is so important to keep that joy of learning, alive and well! Read More

Instruments: Violin Viola

For beginning students, I typically start with Suzuki Book 1. A strong foundation is key to playing the violin/viola. I do teach the Suzuki method, but I understand that method of teaching does not work for all students--one size does not fit all. I believe all students have the innate ability to learn an instrument despite their background. I find the Suzuki books provide a strong foundation with the ability to play full songs from the start. I believe in promoting the things that make each student unique! I like to push my students to strive for new goals and achievements while also making sure that they remain self reliant. Self-reliance is going to be what carries each and every student throughout the course of their career with music. Being able to push and motivate themselves and hold themselves accountable when faced with different challenges are things I like to encourage in all of my students. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm.
