playing since the age of 10, I have been gifted to play by ear. After discovering this gift . I enhanced my skills by learning to read classical music, jazz and contemporary gospel and hymns. I received some training at Fayetteville state university school of music and the school of music in Charlotte,NC and also received some training from dr, bracket and also some of the best musicians in charlotte NC. I have playing over 45 years and I serve as a church musician over 45 years. I love to show my students how to develop their own style with reading music and playing by ear together to develop their own style. if you are serious and willing to put in the practice and time, I am the teacher for you
My experience with teaching has been very interesting, i began teaching at the age of 12 years old, as i was honored to been given the opportunity to teach people at my church and also in the certain after schools programs such as the boys and girls club and also the salvation army, I love to encourage my student to practice y every day, because practice makes you become very good at what you do. I play gospel, classical, hynms, and some jazz. I have also been bless with the gift of playing by ear. I would love to show my students the way that they can develop a ear music and mix the both together to create a great sound and style of their. I look forward to working with you and walking this journey with you as you explore your dreams with music.
I would like to start my beginners in the aaron piano course book. I will also introduce music theory along with helping students to develop a ear for music, so that they can mix the two together to create their own style of playing. The more advance students will be introduced to John thompsons Mordern Course for the piano and the adult all-in-one course book. I would encourage my students to practice everyday. Those students intersting in playing gospel music, i will show them hymns and contemporary gospel music. i love forward to working with you
Its gives me great joy to see my students practicing asking questions and progressing as well. If a student is not progressing i would give him great advice and praise to get him motivated to practice and watch him improve as well. I will also find out what kind of music my student is most interesting in and we will mostly stay focused on what he or she would like. I would also like to acknowledge my students accomplishments as he/she continues to move on and advance. I would advice them to feel comfortable to ask any question that they may not understand.
