For the first twelve years, I was mentored under the tutelage of Janet Houston. I also have a combined 14 years of orchestral performance experience, beginning with the Dearborn Youth Symphony which lasted ten years. Reading and performing music also exercises the same areas of the brain that handle math, language, and critical thinking.
