My methods vary between each student. For beginning students, that are not learning in a school setting, I typlically start with Hal Lenard's Essential Elements For Band. Once the student had progressed, I will start to introduce solo repetoire that the student will be instested in, which could be pop tunes or other type of music. Seeing student success is a very rewarding experience. The process is the best part. Showing students how to advance their skills is something I have always enjoyed since I began teaching. I inform students about the historical elements of piano, how to compose, how to listen to music and how to perform. Learning to sing is a rewarding and worthwhile endeavor and I approach my students individualistically. I assign my student vocal exercises and repertoire and provide clear and thorough instruction to keep lessons fun and engaging! I challenge my students to practice and perfect the assigned homework and songs so that we may keep improving every week.  Through the years, I have built a vocal technique from the ground up which has allowed me to teach and guide students in their own journey in singing.
