Each child is different so with careful evaluation of their specific needs and abilities, I decide on which approach would best fit that student. Ever since high school, I have enjoyed teaching other students. In college, I would travel to nearby schools to tutor middle and high school instrumental students. My first job out of college was teaching at a charter school where I saw all the students in the school for 9 week periods. We established an after school band where private lessons were the main form of growth. In my next job, I taught students from beginning, in sixth grade, through their senior year of high school. I love music and have studied piano since I was six years old.  I also studied organ and clarinet briefly.  My degrees are in Psychology and Communications.  I worked for state and federal government agencies and was a writer and producer for CNN/Atlanta for ten years.  I enjoy teaching piano and now have six students ranging in age from 4 to 36 years of age.  I also enjoy tennis and am a former law student, but found the latter not to my liking.
