For my beginner students, who are younger, I start off with the Faber series in the Primer levels. After progressing through the first few levels of the series, I then start to introduce solo repertoire depending on the interests of the student. For my older students, we also go through the Faber Adult Piano Adventures book, where we learn the basics of piano along with some fun pieces. My teaching experience begins in high school where I was appointed to be an orchestra assistant. There, I began offering before and after school private lessons with violinists and violists. Since then, I have graduated and am now attending UNF and assisting the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra. I currently have two students who participate in the youth orchestra and I adore it. At this stage the music becomes more difficult and lengthy, so I like to group phrases of the piece in sections until they can be played together cohesively.
