I always focus on proper and healthy singing technique, therefore, for every student, I start with physical and vocal warm up in order to develop fundamental skills of breathing and support. And I like my students to choose their favorite songs to stay motivated and have fun. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements for violin students and piano adventures for piano students. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. During the lessons, I'll also let them come up with their own music or I'll play a duet with students. That way they're not only learning the instruments as well as being creative. Read More

In middle school, I began performing and teaching music during the summers at Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-10. Throughout high school, as a member of a variety of bands, I performed at a wide array of venues around New England. During this time, I ventured into song writing and musical arrangement. I also spent some time giving private trombone, bass, and guitar lessons in high school. Along with teaching music, I have much experience working with students ages 2-18 as a summer camp sports director, youth director at a teen center, and a soccer coach and trainer. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my earliest teenage years, when I convinced a local church (and my parents) in Cincinnati, Ohio, to let me teach privately in one of the church rooms. Soon afterwards, I landed a teaching job with Howard Early Music there, one of the more reputable music chains in that area. Since then, I have taught master classes, clinics, and private lessons in theory and improvisation, to various singers and instrumentalists at the college and community level. Read More

Based on my first meeting get acquainted sessions with my students, I decide what approach to take with each person. As everyone is different, I adapt my teaching to their particular personality and needs. I have a very comprehensive library where a student can music of any style to supplement his or her foundational music development. Read More
