Young piano students use the Faber collection and older students use the Bastien series for the Older Beginner. Practical Theory from Sandy Feldstein is used for instrumental students. For beginners and young children, I generally demonstrate and have them practice breathing and certain terminology before we begin singing. Once we begin singing, I use the keyboard and have them practice matching pitch. We then do warm ups, and I teach them a couple phrases that will help with pronunciation and shaping their mouths to make certain sounds. I am a knowledgeable musician who enjoys teaching classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar and musical theory. I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Guitar Performance. During my time there I performed in the annual guitar ensemble recitals, honors recitals and my own senior recital. Since graduating I have gone on to teach a diverse group of students of all ages.
