I have been playing the clarinet since 2007, and have been involved in teaching since 2016. I graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, and am currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Chamber Music Performance at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. I first got into music when I was in elementary school. My first instrument was the upright bass fiddler. This help me learn the notes on the bass clef. I later learned to play trumpet which was the instrument that used to audition to get into the Navy Band. My teaching dates back to my early career as a gigging musician. If there were to be a rehearsal before a show, I would show my bandmates how a certain song were to go. Eventually, I decided to do some private guitar teaching gigs besides making a living as a gigging musician. My first teaching gig was for one of my cousins whose son wanted to learn guitar.
