When students have successfully completed the Suzuki books, I will introduce them to pieces that would be suitable for a recital performance. For younger students I will teach them the basics of chords and progressions, eventually leading to write their first songs. I began teaching voice lessons in 1995 while living in Los Angeles, CA. I worked with many production and management companies developing unsigned and signed artists. I started teaching one-on-one so the students could get the results for strengthening their voice. As I always say "Singing is Breathing" so the first exercise I teach is proper diaphragmatic breathing to increase vocal range. For beginning students I use Faber and John Thompson books. Once the student improves of course we upgrade to more challenging songs and books. For adults I find out what they're interested in and instruct accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and always fun no matter what. I base my teaching method on my strong, enthusiastic, optimistic, patient, and loving character. Each child is different so with careful evaluation of their specific needs and abilities, I decide on which approach would best fit that student.
