Instruments: Double Bass
Joy and physical comfort are the two most important things to develop, for a musician of any age or skill level. To that end, my job as a teacher is twofold: 1. To promote a relaxed and efficient technique, so that students can trust in their ability and fully express their own musicality. 2. To inspire a love of music which will drive students to practice and improve. Students decide what repertoire they would like to study; Read More
Instruments: Violin Viola
Depending on students age and ability, I use different kind of methods. For students that are new to music I usually start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, this book is really good to start to learn about music and the instrument, and then Suzuki method for repertoire. For more advanced students I like to set learning steps, that way my students can achieve goals quickly and feel more engaging to practice. Read More

Every student is different. The most important thing is for the student to get along with their instructor. I am a patient and easy going person, but I also want discipline and excellence. I have over 15 years experience working with thousands of talented people, including talent featured on American Idol, The Voice, Disney, X-Factor, and major movies and tv shows. I enjoy kids and students of all ages that are enthusiastic about learning, and I want them to be extraordinary with their skills. Read More
Instruments: Voice
My way of working the voice in particular is a combination of yoga breathing techniques, the Alexander singing method and the Stanilavsky method of acting. This to achieve a better awareness of the vibration and awareness of the vocal instrument. As for the guitar, I also combine typing exercises and coordination of the classical school and then move on to the area of chord and harmony construction a little more related to the jazz and contemporary music school. My students enjoy progressively knowing and discovering the possibilities of their instrument and then go looking for their pop sound and their own forms of expressiveness, leaving me as an advisor or coach in the musical forms that they wish to explore and enjoy. 1My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I emphasize for my students. To truly become an accomplished musician, a student must be motivated to practice daily. I've found that teaching both classical and modern music motivates students to practice and continue to learn. Read More

Hi! My name is Daniel and I have been teaching guitar for over 15 years. I started playing the guitar at a young age. I learned mainly by ear from the first year or two, and asked anyone I met who played to teach me anything they could. Once I knew the basic chords and could play a few songs, I began taking professional lessons. My teacher taught me how to develop my ear properly so I could learn what I wanted without any help.
