No matter what age I will offer fun and engaging lessons that foster creativity, discipline and help my students develop a passion for music! Read More

Being as humble as I can be, teaching is a privilege. I love that I'm able to offer great amounts of value to my students' lives! In my approach, I do my best to engage students with challenging questions in various capacities. I offer precise feedback. There's much we can learn from outside perspectives, and so I incorporate past experiences and insights coupled with colorful analogies for optimal growth. I also offer a diverse set of tools, that I myself employ, which makes practicing more efficient and enjoyable. Read More

I am a passionate 27 year old musician who has decided to start teaching. Music brings a joy and connects people like nothing else in existence, and my goal is to be able to spread that with my students. I graduated SUNY Geneseo in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, and a Music minor. I am only 23, and my music career is only beginning. I had just started a band that would have started playing around Rochester if not for the current situation of the world. Read More

Just like any other skill or passion, it is most fundamental to instill a sense of awareness and problem-solving. Whatever stage the student is in, I believe in teaching methods that help break down and conquer difficulties. Instead of treating music/violin playing like a mindless and repetitive process, I want to pass on the passion and excitement that has been taught to me. Combining the inherent connection to music that we all possess with the tools to exercise discipline and dedication to a craft are the keys to success in my opinion. Read More

Again, music is a deeply personal subject and I want to encourage every student to find their unique voice and love for music. My goal is to develop strong all-around music skills along with learning the technique of the instrument they chose. Every student works at a different pace, and I plan accordingly. I like to set reachable, realistic goals for students each week to develop a strong sense of accomplishment and hunger to learn more the following week. Read More

I've been teaching privately for 10 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for all my students. I've discovered that a combination of jazz and modern music as well as having fun can enhance a student's development and passion for playing music. I encourage my students to enter competitions, recitals and to start their own band playing cover songs and original songs. Read More

Teaching, for me, began when I was in high school; I taught summer drumset lessons at McQuaid Jesuit and taught Karate at Martial Arts America. This desire to teach was incorporated with my love of music...leading me to pursue a degree in Music Education. I began performing and competing in fourth grade, which continued into my college years. In my third year of undergraduate work, these elements of music led me as well as three of my percussion buddies to performances and clinics (that we taught) at the New York State School Music Association and the New York State Band Director's Association conventions.
