My first experience teaching music began immediately after graduation college and had continued to the present day. Originating as the music teacher at a girl's club the summer after my college graduation, my music profession soon began. There my eyes were opened to the benefits music has on children. This is also where I learned a lot about myself musically. While teaching music theory, choir & directing the summer musical started its cycle of my evolution here, this was only is beginning. I've studied with internationally renowned clarinetists from the Israel Philharmonic, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and more. My teachers have included Eli Eban, Diana Haskell, James Hinson, and Mary Sage. Currently, I'm pursuing my Master of Music in Clarinet Performance at California State University - Fullerton with the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Burt Hara. An experienced clarinet teacher, I've worked with students of all levels and ages and has studied pedagogy under the brilliant clarinet pedagogue Howard Klug at Indiana University. Read More

As mentioned before, we'll work on any material the student needs to work on for class, and supplement with additional material that is challenging, interesting, and works to grow the student in the proficiency and knowledge. The student identifies where they want music to take them and the teacher shows them how to get there. Lessons are where breakthroughs are made, when students are eager and motivated to learn. From beginners to advanced students, there's always something to be learned! Read More
Instruments: Voice
I love to see students come out of their shell! It gives me so much pleasure to watch the progression of a student who starts out shy and scared to sing in public, to commanding a stage and audience after a series of lessons. I like to move at the students pace, while encouraging and challenging the student to push themselves with healthy vocal practices and exercises, while in, and away from the studio. My goal for my students is to help them find their own, unique voice and style! Read More

At this point, I was able to develop very rapidly and also implemented various guitar styles into my playing. I would eventually discover a passion for classical guitar and pursued studies with Alan Rosenkoetter at Washington University. During this formal stage of my musical development, I graduated from the University of Missouri St. Louis with a Bachelors of Music Degree, with an emphasis in Music Education. I play and teach the following styles: rock, blues, metal, classical, funk, pop, country, alternative, and folk/acoustic. Read More

Each lesson starts with technical exercises, follwed by repertoire. Each student does theory during the lesson with twenty questions at the end. During this time, I do all review theory material. Difficult passages are marked with a "P" chart. They have to play the difficult part four times and get a "P" for each perfect playing. Every fifth time they have to repeat from the beginning to integrate the difficult part with the rest of the song. Read More
